TFTD: It is widely perceived that the War on Terror is in fact a war on Islam and the Muslims.
Q: (How) Is it possible to stand up for Islam and the Muslims without defending terrorism and the terrorists?

Why do we feel the need to prove ourselves, whether we are or not justifying terrorism? Why take on the agenda that's being laid down to us? I dont think we should.

What does it have to do with justification or other agendas? We're Muslims, and Islam is under attack. It is natural to want to fight back with a defence of Islam. My question is how can this be done without defending terrorism?
The hizb talks of breaking the link between politicat Islam and terrorism. My question is about just that: how does one go about it?

Well this is hard if you still concider the act that Al Qaida did is from an islamic bases, for me it is not of any islamic bases, so we can stand for islam by showing that those poeple is not from it and we show the pure message of islam as it is the religion of peace. and never used the sowrd unless it was attacked or in position of Dawa. and never betraid or hit any one in the back or abused women or children.

No doubt there are terrible terrorist acts undertaken on daily basis using the name of Islam. And we do recognize that & condemn it. The problem with the West is that they don't recognize terrorism unless if it is linked to Islam. Good examples would be the crimes committed against the Muslims in Bosnia and Chechnya and the Palestinians. Yet those who comitted those crimes have never been labelled as terrorists. Obviously the West has a big agenda of linking terrorism to Islam & if that is the case, it would be impossible to defend Islam without defending terrorism simply because they don't want to accept that there is a difference between them.
