TFTD: There is a general consensus amongst Arab nationalists and Islamists that Israel is an illegitimate entity and hence unworthy of recognition.
This is sometimes seen as a form of delusionary denial unique to the Arab mindset; a refusal to face the reality of their political impotence.
Q: What is it about Israel that makes it any LESS worthy of recognition than any other state in the region, such as, say, Lebanon? (Rummani)
Well I would not consider it as denial, in fact everyone including muslims recognize Israel as a contry but the idea is that they do not want to be offecial as a trial from them to not lose the statment that israel is illigetimate, and that is because they are invaders weather we like it or not.
now if we are talking about islamic point of veiw and how to deal with "jews" and not "israil" then we can see that muslims consider jews as their enemy when they attack us, otherwize they have their religion and we have our own religion so there is no problem with jews, so when we talk about israil then we are talking about jews that are attaking us so we have to fight back and one of the weakest fight back is that we do not consider them as a contry, and this gives them a pain in the neck and make them allways worry about what is going to happen, although this is not enough but we are waiting for some one to take it to a further step.
In regard to Lebanon the difference is that they are not invaders...
