TFTD: The Home Secretary's decision to have the terminally ill cancer patient Ama Sumani removed from the hospital where she was receiving treatment and escorted to her home country of Ghana, has sparked (at least) two debates:
1. Should the state have treated her case with particular compassion, given her life expectancy and her financial means, or were they right in adhering to the letter of the law?
2. Should the state offer free health care to all, regardless of nationality? Nb Ms Sumani was denied a bone marrow translant because she was a "foreign national".
Q: How would you expect an Islamic state to have treated Ms Sumani?
