TFTD: The Prophet (saas) is reported to have said, upon hearing that the Persians had appointed Chosroes's daughter as their Queen, "Those who put a woman in charge of their affairs shall never prosper".
Assuming the narration is authentic, two questions arise:
1. Does the hadith imply the Persians might have prospered had they appointed a male?
2. If the Prophet (saas) found it necessary to use this particular aspect of a the enemy's ruling system to demonstrate one particular Islamic ruling, does that suggest the Muslims would have otherwise considered adopting parts of alien ruling systems?
